Officers investigating the circumstances of a serious injury traffic collision in Burnt Ash Road, Lewisham are appealing for the driver of a silver or light grey Nissan Micra to come forward. Police were called at 2.28pm on Saturday, 25 August to reports of a red Smart car in collision with a pedestrian. At the scene, the 33-year-old female pedestrian had suffered a serious head injury. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries. Officers know that a silver or light grey, five door, Nissan Micra drove toward the incident from the direction of Southbrook Road travelling into Burnt Ash Road shortly before 1430hrs and they are keen to speak with the driver who may be able to provide a witness account to help clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. The driver of the Nissan Micra was not involved in the collision. Officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command investigate. Anyone with information relating to this incident, particularly the driver of the Nissan, is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit by dialling 101 and quoting CAD3823/25AUG, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
