SO15 Leads Investigation Into Islamist Extremism Online
Specialist counter-terror unit SO15 carried out the searches as part of an ongoing probe into extremist Islamist content posted on social media platforms.
Police are urging local communities to stay vigilant. “Communities defeat terrorism,” they said. “If you see or hear anything suspicious or believe someone might be involved in terrorist activity, trust your instincts and report it confidentially at gov.uk/ACT. In an emergency, always call 999.”
