Armed Gunman Takes Hostages at Nuneaton Bowling Alley

A man wielding a shotgun has taken two hostages at the MFA Bowl in Bermuda Park, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Police have swarmed the scene with five vehicles and declared the situation an “ongoing incident.”

Area Locked Down as Police Respond

All roads around St David’s Way are sealed off. Visitors to the nearby cinema were told to remain inside while officers manage the standoff. The neighbouring soft play centre has also been placed on lockdown amid safety concerns.

Witness Reports Sawn-Off Shotgun

Eyewitnesses claim the hostage-taker is armed with a sawn-off shotgun. One witness, who asked to remain anonymous, said:

“I was out with my child when I saw a man carrying a gun in the complex. Suddenly, we were told to leave, and the police arrived and shut everything down.”
