Tragedy on Acre Lane: Elderly Pedestrian Dies After Motorcycle Crash
Fatal Collision Shocks SW2
A horrific crash on Acre Lane, SW2, left an 87-year-old pedestrian dead on Sunday afternoon. The smash happened at 3.46pm and involved a motorcycle and the elderly man.
Rider Arrested at Scene
Emergency crews, including police and the london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4148">London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Sadly, the pedestrian later died in hospital. The motorbike rider was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He has since been released under investigation from a south London police station.
Police Hunt Witnesses
Specialist officers are supporting the victim’s family during this tragic time. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the probe and urgently wants to speak to anyone who saw the crash or caught it on dash cam.
