Man Assaulted in Liverpool Nightclub – Police Hunt Suspect

A man was viciously attacked inside Superstar Boudoir nightclub on Stanley Street, Liverpool, at around 2am on Thursday 20 January. The suspect fled on foot immediately after the assault.

Serious Injuries in Suspected Homophobic Attack

The victim sustained serious injuries and was left deeply shaken. He believes the attack was motivated by homophobia. Police are now treating the incident as a hate crime.

Police Release Suspect Images, Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Steven O’Neill condemned the attack, saying: “To be attacked in this manner is utterly despicable, and we’re determined to find the person responsible.”

He added: “We will not stand by and let people be subject to such attacks because of who they are. Everyone should be free to enjoy themselves safely in Liverpool City Centre and beyond.”

Officers have released images of a man they believe can help with the investigation. DI O’Neill urged anyone who recognises the man or who was in Superstar Boudoir or on Stanley Street during the early hours of 20 January to come forward.
