Stolen Mondeo Sparks Collision on A406
The vehicle tried to evade officers, speeding along Dog Lane before smashing into two cars on the A406 westbound. The Mondeo spun out of control and crashed into the kerb. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
Drugs and Machete Found Inside Stolen Car
Police found Class B drugs and a machete inside the wrecked vehicle. A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene, while an 18-year-old was nabbed nearby in Dog Lane, Neasden.
Both face charges of aggravated vehicle theft, possession of an offensive weapon, and conspiracy to supply Class B drugs (cannabis). They remain in custody at a west London police station.
Police Praise Teamwork and Safety
PC Alan Pearce from Operation Venice said: “Officers from Operation Venice will continue to work with colleagues across the Met to prevent and detect criminality across London, even during these challenging times. I am pleased that no one was seriously injured during this incident and that a dangerous weapon has been taken off the streets.”
