Police Smash Major Car Chop Shop in Erith!
In the early hours today, cops from the SE Violence Suppression Unit and Sidcup Safer Neighbourhood Team raided a notorious car chop shop in Erith. The premises were linked to organised criminal gangs stealing high-value motors to strip them for parts.
Stolen Rolls Royce and Range Rover Parts Seized
Officers uncovered a stolen Rolls Royce Phantom, taken just the day before. They also found the remains of a Range Rover and parts from numerous other stolen vehicles collected from across the region.
Criminals Tried to Cover Their Tracks – But Failed
The gang tried to hide the vehicles using signal jammers and stash them away in a warehouse. But police acted fast, securing a search warrant out of hours and swooping in to shut down the operation.
Enquiries are ongoing as detectives work to dismantle this organised car theft ring.
