Five Arrested After Teen Stabbed Near McDonald’s in Northampton
Five suspects have been snapped up following a stabbing in Drapery, Northampton yesterday afternoon. At around 4.30pm, police rushed to reports that a 17-year-old boy had been knifed close to McDonald’s.
Fortunately, the teen’s injuries are not life threatening or life changing. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Arrests Made Quickly After Fast Police Response
Authorities detained three 17-year-old boys, a 16-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old man. All five remain in custody as investigations continue.
“Police officers were on the scene within four minutes of the 999 call,” said Superintendent Kev Mulligan. “An exceptionally fast-paced investigation led to five arrests during the evening and night.”
Police Crack Down on Knife Crime
Superintendent Mulligan emphasised zero tolerance for violence.
“Violence in any form and in any place will not be tolerated. Thankfully, incidents like this are very rare. We’ll have extra patrols in the area today to reassure the community.”
Knife crime reduction remains a key priority for the force.
