Four fire engines raced to the scene as brave firefighters in breathing gear battled blazing flames. Using a smoke curtain, they stopped the fire from spreading further.
One man was treated on-site for suspected smoke inhalation before being handed over to SECAmb paramedics. Officers from Kent Police were also quick to respond.
The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations continue.
