Man Arrested After Dog Attacks Multiple People in Hammersmith Cemetery
Chaos erupted in a Hammersmith cemetery when a dog attacked several people on Saturday morning, sparking a police manhunt and an arrest.
Dog Attack Sparks Panic
Police were called at around 11:15am on July 1 after reports of multiple people being bitten in a cemetery on Field Road, W6. Officers rushed to the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service.
Victims Treated for Puncture Wounds
Four victims arrived at hospital with puncture wounds. Thankfully, none of the injuries were life-threatening, according to medical staff.
48-Year-Old Man Held Over Dangerous Dog
Police managed to find and safely restrain the dog before seizing it. The breed is still unknown as enquiries continue. A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. He was taken to a west London police station pending further investigation.
