Man Arrested After Fatal Tottenham Shooting

A 56-year-old man has been arrested following the fatal shooting of a man in his 40s in Tottenham on Tuesday, October 15. Police were called to Waltheof Gardens, N17, at 9:00am after reports of gunfire. Despite emergency crews’ efforts, the victim died at the scene.

Suspect Held at North London Police Station

The suspect remains in custody at a north London police station, held on suspicion of murder. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police say this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, leading the investigation, said: “We are yet to formally identify the victim. Our priority is to inform and support his family with specialist officers. A post-mortem is planned.”
