Man, 29, Seriously Injured in Fatal Queens Road Hit-and-Run

A 29-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Queens Road near Wall Close just before 1am on 8 May. Sadly, he later died from his injuries.

Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Driver

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the serious collision investigation unit is urgently seeking the driver responsible. CCTV shows other vehicles nearby, and officers are desperate to identify the car and its driver.

“I am particularly keen to speak with a cyclist who passed the victim and the vehicle involved,” said DS Hughes. “I urge anyone with information to come forward.”

“If you’re the driver involved, do the right thing and contact us immediately. You cannot be in any doubt about your involvement.”

Dashcams Could Crack the Case

Police are asking motorists and witnesses to check their dashcam footage. Anyone with footage or information can email [email protected] or contact via the police website, quoting log 170 of 8 May.
