Man in His 50s Stabbed Near Crystal Palace Petrol Station

A man in his 50s was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the chest near a petrol station in Crystal Palace. The shocking attack took place on Wednesday afternoon, March 19, close to the Shell petrol station forecourt on Crystal Palace Parade.

Emergency Services Respond Quickly

Police and paramedics arrived swiftly after reports of a serious assault at around 2.30pm. The area was immediately cordoned off while officers launched an investigation.

“Police were called at 2.30pm on Wednesday, 19 March to Crystal Palace Parade, SE19, following a serious assault. A man in his 50s was taken to hospital after sustaining a stab wound to his chest. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Officers remain in the area and no arrests have been made at this stage,” a police spokesperson confirmed.

Air Ambulance Called to Scene

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed that paramedics, including an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance, were dispatched to the scene. The man was treated on-site before being rushed to a major trauma centre in London.

“We were called today (Wednesday 19) at 2.47pm to reports of a stabbing in Crystal Palace Parade, SE19. We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre in London,” said an LAS spokesperson.

The motive behind the attack remains a mystery, and no arrests have yet been made. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
