Thieves Make Off with Trailor Loaded with Priceless Sportswear in Knowsley
Merseyside Police are hunting two crooks who pulled off a brazen heist at the Venus 110 depot on Hornhouse Lane, Knowsley. Just after 10pm on Thursday, October 19, the pair snatched a trailer packed with a huge haul of Castore sportswear.
Stolen Trailer Spotted Heading to Skelmersdale
The trailer was hitched to a white HGV and last seen leaving the depot around 6am the next day, Friday, October 20, heading towards Coopers Lane. A week later, cops found the empty container dumped on Penketh Place in Skelmersdale on October 26.
Police Urge Locals to Check Dash-Cams
Detective Inspector Richard Shillito is begging witnesses or anyone with info to come forward. He’s especially keen on motorists who were nearby during the theft to review dash-cam footage for any sign of the white HGV or suspicious activity.
“We are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who has information on the theft,” said DI Shillito. “Also, please let us know if you spot large amounts of Castore sports clothing being sold.”
