Teen Held on Terror Suspicions After Portsmouth Raid
A 19-year-old man is in custody, arrested on suspicion of terrorism following a police operation in Portsmouth.
Met Police, ERSOU Strike in Joint Probe
The Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command teamed up with the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) to raid a property on February 21. Officers swooped on the Portsmouth address as part of a proactive investigation into Islamist terrorism.
The suspect was picked up at the scene, accused of distributing terrorist publications under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006. He remains held under PACE at a London police station.
Second Search Underway in Essex
