Two Teens Shot in Notting Hill – Rushed to Hospital
Shock in west London as two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were shot last night in Notting Hill. Armed police raced to Verity Close around 11:40 PM on July 1 after reports of gunfire.
Non-Life-Threatening Injuries but Investigation Ongoing
The victims were found with gunshot wounds and swiftly taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Verity Close, a quiet cul-de-sac near Lancaster Road and a short walk from Grenfell Tower, became the crime scene as officers sealed off the area for inquiries.
Police Statement and Appeal for Witnesses
“Police were called at about 11:40 PM on Monday, July 1, to Verity Close, Notting Hill, following reports of gunshots. Officers, including firearms officers, attended and found two boys – aged 15 and 16 – with gunshot injuries. They were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening,” confirmed a Met Police spokesperson.
Trident detectives are leading the probe with support from the Central West Command Unit policing Kensington. The crime scene remains in place as officers carry out their enquiries.
