Blazing Diesel Lorries Spark Explosions at Mulberry Farm

Emergency services rushed to Mulberry Farm on Station Road at 1.40am this morning (March 22) after reports of a fire and loud explosions.

More Than 20 Firefighters Battle Intense Blaze

Fire crews found eight lorries ablaze, each loaded with 250-300 litres of diesel. The dangerous situation required a huge firefighting effort to bring the inferno under control.

Police Launch Full Investigation

Detectives are combing through CCTV footage, gathering forensic evidence, and conducting house-to-house enquiries around Longstanton.

Detective Inspector Verity McCann urged:

“I would like to hear from anyone who was in the Longstanton area before the fire who may have seen or heard anything. Please contact the police. Any information, no matter how small, could be vital.”
