Fatal Van Crash Near Sevenoaks: Witnesses Urgently Needed

A 67-year-old man has died after being hit by a white Ford Transit van on the A224 near Riverhead, Sevenoaks.

Deadly Collision on A224

The crash happened just after 1pm on Friday 20 August 2021, near the roundabout with Aisher Way. The van was heading north when it struck the pedestrian.

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance rushed to the scene, but sadly the man was pronounced dead on arrival.

Driver Arrested Amid Investigation

A 22-year-old man from Dartford was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Kent Police are calling on anyone who saw the collision or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward. They ask you to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538, quoting reference AH/DC/084/21.
