Man Dies After Double Stabbing in Lambeth – Police Launch Murder Probe
A brutal double stabbing has left one man dead and another fighting for his life in Lambeth. Police have launched a murder investigation following the shocking attack on Thursday evening.
Stabbing Spree in Overton Road Area
At around 5.55pm on 20 August, officers raced to reports of a fight near Overton Road, SW9. Emergency services, including London Ambulance and Air Ambulance, quickly arrived at the scene. They found two men, both believed to be in their 20s, suffering from stab wounds.
- One man was discovered on Overton Road with stab injuries and was rushed to hospital. His condition is stable and not life-threatening.
- The second victim was found on nearby Wynne Road, also stabbed. Sadly, he died in hospital at 8.53pm.
Car Overturned Nearby – Linked to Attack
Police also discovered an overturned car in Marcella Road, SW9, believed to be connected to the incident. Crime scenes remain in place as detectives dig deeper into what sparked the violent attack.
Police Enforce Section 60 and Appeal for Witnesses
No arrests have been made yet, but a Section 60 stop-and-search order is now active across SW9, SW4, SW8, SE11, and SE5. It runs until 9am on Friday, 21 August.
