Man Killed in Brutal Hit-and-Run in Walton on Thames
A murder investigation is underway after a man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on Church Street, Walton on Thames, Surrey, this Thursday afternoon.
Air Ambulances and Police Rush to Grim Scene
Officers from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, alongside two police air ambulances and paramedics, scrambled to the incident at around 2.15pm. Despite their best efforts, the victim died at the scene.
Driver Flees After Road Rage Fight
Police have launched a nationwide manhunt for the driver, who allegedly got into a fight moments before mowing down the man. The vehicle sped off immediately after the attack.
Detectives Hunt for Clues Using CCTV
Detectives have been spotted canvassing local shops, gathering CCTV footage to track down the driver and vehicle involved.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: “We are on scene following an incident in Church Street in #Walton-on-Thames, which happened around 2.15pm today. We are currently trying to establish the circumstances of what has taken place and will provide further updates as soon as we have more information.”
