Six Men Wanted for Sex Attacks on London Buses – Police Release Images
Detectives hunting six men linked to sex attacks on London buses have released seven key images and want the public’s help to ID them.
Sex Attacks on London Buses – Police on High Alert
Detective Inspector Cindy Yau from the Road Traffic Policing Command said: “Keeping bus passengers safe is our top priority. Sexual assaults on London buses are rare, but when they happen, we treat them with urgency.”
She added: “We have strong technology to catch offenders, and encourage any victims or witnesses to come forward. On conviction, we push for the harshest sentences and will seek to ban offenders from using the bus network whenever possible.”
Where and When the Attacks Happened
- Route 141: Sexual assault on board near Arcadian Gardens, N22, at 10:50am, Wednesday 11 March. Bus heading south to Wood Green Tube station.
- Route 492: Sexual touching on Tuesday 4 February around 9:30-9:45am near Crayford Road stop.
- Route 230: Sexual touching on Friday 28 February at 3:30pm. Bus was running between Walthamstow and Wood Green; suspect left at Hazelwood Road stop on Blackhorse Road.
- Route 48: Sexual touching on Thursday 4 July 2019 around 10:30pm. Incident happened between London Bridge and Clapton, close to Mare Street stop.
Indecent Exposure in Multiple Locations
- Suspect linked to three cases of indecent exposure:
- 28 January, 7:45pm, bus stop H, Victoria Road – man caught touching himself.
- 4 February, 8:15-8:45pm, bus stop G, Victoria Street – same offence.
- 16 February, 4:05pm near St Anne’s Court, Soho – man exposing himself.
- Another man wanted for exposure on Monday 1 June, 10am, at bus stop near Sainsbury’s Supermarket, Northumberland Park.
Transport for London Teams Up with Police
Siwan Hayward, Director of Policing for Transport for London, slammed the attacks: “No one should fear sexual assault on our transport network. We’re working closely with police to catch these offenders quickly.”
She reassured passengers: “Our extensive CCTV network is fully operational. Every report is taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. If you recognise these men or have any information, please contact the police.”
