Drug Dealer Nabbed in Edmonton After Crimestoppers Tip-Off
Police swooped on a 39-year-old man in Edmonton following anonymous alerts to Crimestoppers. The North Area Borough Command Unit (BCU) arrested him at his home on Thursday, 24 September, over suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Class A Haul Found at Suspect’s Home
Officers seized a stash of suspected heroin and crack cocaine along with £800 cash, mobile phones, and other evidence linking the man directly to drug dealing. The suspect remains in police custody.
Exploiting Vulnerable Locals
Sources say the dealer used vulnerable people to transport the class A drugs around the community, fuelling local drug crime. Neighbourhood officers behind the bust are part of a dedicated 11-strong team tackling drugs and violence in the area.

Inspector Matt Chapman said: “This arrest proves how vital the Crimestoppers charity is. We don’t know who made the tip as it’s totally anonymous, but I’m grateful to whoever called—it led to this arrest.
“The man we caught is clearly very dangerous and exploited vulnerable people for his own gain.
“This is part of our wider crackdown to disrupt violence and take dangerous criminals off the streets. Our dedicated team’s work is essential to reducing harm in Edmonton.”
