Knife Threat at Earley Station: Teen Robbed at Knifepoint
A 17-year-old boy was robbed near Earley train station on Thursday lunchtime (11/11). Two young offenders approached him at the junction of Compton Close and Station Road asking to borrow his phone.
Knife Threat Sparks Robbery
When the teen asked for his phone back, one of the youths claimed he had a knife and refused to return it. They then demanded the victim’s gilet, which he handed over before the pair fled. Thankfully, the boy was not injured.
Police Hunt Two Masked Teens
- Both suspects are described as Asian males, around 16 years old, wearing face masks.
- The phone thief is slim, about 6ft 1in tall, dressed in black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and a black hoodie.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Constable Dennis Hicks of Loddon Valley police station urged the public to come forward:
“I am appealing for anyone who saw this incident or has any information about what happened to please come forward. This happened close to the train station at around lunchtime, and I believe that members of the public, both pedestrians and cyclists, may have seen what happened.”
