Man in his 20s stabbed to death in Reading street horror

Tragedy on Romany Lane

At around 10:40pm on Halloween night (31/10), police were called to Romany Lane, Tilehurst, following reports of a stabbing.

Tragically, a man in his twenties was found dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

Three Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing

Reading police have arrested an 18-year-old and two 19-year-old men, all locals, on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody as the investigation continues.

Targeted Attack, Police Say

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard of the Major Crime Unit said: “We have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man last night.

“Our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time.

“This appears to be a targeted incident and there is no risk to the wider public.

“Residents in Romany Lane will notice an increased police presence as we conduct our inquiries.”
