Woman Rushed to Hospital After Carshalton House Blaze

A woman has been hospitalised after a fire ripped through an end-of-terrace house on Pipewell Road, Carshalton, early this morning (September 19).

Firefighters Battle Blaze for Nearly 40 Minutes

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called at 10:46 AM, deploying four fire engines and 25 firefighters. They contained the blaze by 11:22 AM, which damaged half of the ground floor. Crews from Mitcham, Sutton, Wimbledon, and Twickenham stations joined the fight.

Woman Rescued and Air Ambulance on Scene

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued the woman from the burning property. She was rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, but her injury details remain unclear. The London Air Ambulance’s advanced trauma team also attended a nearby park, though their role hasn’t been confirmed.

Investigation Underway as Police Assist

The cause of the fire is still unknown. Local police and emergency teams are investigating the incident. A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said inquiries are ongoing, with updates expected soon.
