Car Crashes Into Gas Mains at Upminster, Driver’s Life at Risk
Police rushed to the A127 junction with Front Lane in Upminster at 6.10pm on Sunday, June 26, after reports of a serious road collision.
Emergency Services Descend on Scene
Officers, London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, and London Air Ambulance arrived to find a car had smashed off the road and hit gas mains.
The driver remains at the scene with life-threatening injuries, the Met confirmed.

A suspected gas leak has forced multiple road closures around the A127/Front Lane and M25 Junction 29, causing major disruption. Several homes nearby have been evacuated as a safety precaution.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area while emergency crews work to fix significant gas mains damage.
