Met Police Gear Up for Safe Night Out Across London
Commander Paul Brogden, leading this year’s operation, said: “After the year we’ve all had, we know many will want to come together to celebrate.”
“We want everyone to enjoy tomorrow night safely with family and friends.”
Officers Ready to Keep Londoners Safe
The Met has deployed a robust plan. Local borough cops, new Town Centre teams, and extra pan-London units will be on duty to tackle any trouble and support the celebrations.
Commander Brogden added: “Look after each other, plan your night, and know how you’re getting home.”
Stay Alert – Don’t Get Caught Out!
“If you spot anything suspicious, tell a police officer or security staff immediately. In an emergency, dial 999.”
Expect heavy demand on public transport late at night, especially after midnight. Lines may be busy, and some stations could be closed.
“If you’re booking a taxi, always use official, licensed services. Don’t risk your safety with unregulated minicabs.”
