Almost 30 calls flooded the London Fire Brigade shortly after 10:30pm. Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters from Plaistow, Barking, East Ham, Poplar, and neighbouring areas raced to the scene.
London Fire Brigade confirmed the fire consumed part of a five-room flat on the 10th floor. Three people escaped before the firefighters arrived, while others stayed in unaffected flats. Medical teams treated residents at the scene.
