Huddersfield Man Faces Leeds Crown Court on 15 Rape Charges
A 55-year-old Huddersfield man, Mohammed Khalid, is set to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, 26 May, charged with a shocking 15 counts of rape alongside multiple other sex and drug offences.
Serious Charges Laid
Khalid, who describes himself as Asian Pakistani, faces a litany of charges, including:
- 15 counts of rape
- 2 counts of indecent assault
- 2 counts of supplying Class A drugs
- 1 count of sexual touching
- 2 counts of facilitating travel within the UK for committing sexual offences
The alleged crimes are said to have taken place in the Kirklees area between 2003 and 2007.
Arrest and Court Appearances
Khalid was arrested at Manchester Airport on the morning of Thursday, 23 April. He appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court the next day, 24 April, where he was remanded in custody ahead of his crown court hearing next month.
