Missing Woman Grace, 23, Vanishes After Car Breaks Down in Poole
Grace, 23, was reported missing after last being seen at a town address at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She fled in a grey Volkswagen Polo, which was later found abandoned on Belben Road in Poole.
Mystery Deepens After Car Breakdown and Taxi Ride
Police investigations reveal Grace’s car may have broken down. She called a breakdown service and went into the Premier store on Belben Road at around 10:15 a.m., leaving her car keys and phone number with staff.
She then flagged down a taxi and was dropped off at the Texaco garage on Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, at 10:53 a.m. Witnesses saw her walking toward Asda and the nearby railway station.
Description and Urgent Appeal to Find Grace
Grace is described as white, slim, 5’7” tall with pale green braided hair. She wore a long multi-coloured Peruvian coat, a black top, and baggy blue wide-leg trousers.
“We understand Grace has been upset recently and it is crucial we locate her to ensure she is safe,” said Dorset Police Superintendent Heather Dixey.
Officers have scoured the area and believe she was dropped off near Bournemouth train station. It’s possible she boarded a train, coach, or bus after that.
Superintendent Dixey added: “I’m asking anyone who saw Grace or a woman matching this description to come forward. And a direct appeal to Grace herself – please get in touch with us or your family. We just want to make sure you’re OK.”
