Van and Lorry Crash Shuts M20 Overnight
Emergency services sprang into action early Wednesday after a van collided with a heavy goods vehicle on the London-bound M20 between junctions 9 and 8.
Driver Trapped and Rescued
Kent Fire and Rescue teams used hydraulic cutters to remove the van’s door and create space to free the trapped driver. The casualty, believed to be a Polish national, was handed over to paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
M20 Blocked Until Dawn
The London-bound carriageway stayed closed until just before 5am for police investigations and a clean-up. Fortunately, no delays were reported nearby as recovery operations wrapped up.
