Urgent Hunt Underway for Missing Woman in West Sussex
Sussex Police are scrambling to find Laurel Aldridge, 62, who vanished from her Walberton home near Arundel on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday 14 February.
Last Seen Wearing Distinctive Clothes
Laurel was spotted leaving in the early hours wearing a grey puffer jacket, turquoise fleece, maroon tartan scarf, and a brown hat. She is about 5’4” tall, with grey-blonde highlighted hair and sometimes wears glasses. Police believe she had on dark green tracksuit trousers with a white emblem.
Massive Search Operation in Full Swing
Officers have carried out house-to-house inquiries and deployed search teams with dogs across rural West Sussex. The effort is backed up by the NPAS helicopter, drones, and volunteer specialist search teams lending their expertise.
Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges said: “We are working around the clock conducting an extensive investigation to find Laurel. The volunteer teams have been invaluable, and we thank the public for their support and information.”
“We are also closely supporting Laurel’s family with regular updates and assistance.”
