Dashcam Plea After Horror Crash on M20 Near Maidstone
Police are on the hunt for dashcam footage following a serious collision on the M20 near Maidstone. The smash happened late on Wednesday night, and officers are urging drivers in the area to come forward.
Late-Night Crash: Polo and Van Collide
Just before midnight on 12 November 2025, a grey Volkswagen Polo crashed into a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van on the coastbound M20 between junctions 8 and 9.
The Polo driver, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured and airlifted to hospital. He remains in critical condition. Police have informed his next of kin.
The van driver escaped with minor injuries and has now been discharged.
Police Launch Dashcam Appeal
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the probe. Officers want anyone driving through the area at the time to check their dashcams. Any footage may be crucial in piecing together what caused the crash.
