Teen Arrested After Ford Mondeo Crashes Into Wall – Passenger Seriously Injured
Police, firefighters, and paramedics rushed to the scene shortly after 1am following a single-vehicle smash. A Ford Mondeo had slammed into a wall, leaving an 18-year-old female passenger fighting for her life.
Passenger in Critical Condition
The young woman was rushed to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. Her next of kin have been informed.
Driver Arrested on Multiple Charges
The 18-year-old male driver was arrested at the scene. He faces serious charges including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent, driving over the alcohol limit, and driving over the drug limit.
He is currently held in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
A361 Closed – Police Hunt Witnesses
The A361 remains shut between the Supermarine and Highworth roundabouts, including Shrivenham Road. The closure is expected to last most of the morning while police conduct investigations.
