Fire Rips Through Chalk Farm Road Building
A blaze broke out on the ground floor shop and a three-room flat above on Chalk Farm Road, Camden. Flames also spread to part of a neighbouring first-floor flat, sparking panic in the area.
Firefighters Battle Tough Conditions
Station Commander Brett Loft was at the scene and revealed the tough fight against the flames. “Firefighters were working in extremely hot and arduous conditions to quickly put out the fire,” he said. The area was thick with smoke, and locals were warned to keep windows and doors shut.

Road Closures and Emergency Response
- Chalk Farm Road between Adelaide Road and Camden High Street remains closed as crews work to secure the area.
- The LFB was called at 12.07pm and had the fire under control by 1.56pm.
- Firefighters from Soho, West Hampstead, Paddington, Kentish Town, and surrounding stations sprung into action.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation as Camden residents breathe a sigh of relief that no injuries have been reported so far.
