Ronan Keating’s Brother Killed in Tragic Mayo Crash

Ciaran Keating, 50s and brother of Boyzone star Ronan Keating, has died in a horrific car crash in County Mayo. The smash-up happened around 3.35pm on Saturday in Ballymiles, near Swinford, involving two vehicles.

Family Heartbreak on the Way to Football Match

Ciaran and his wife Ann Marie were driving to see their son Ruairí play for Cork City FC when disaster struck. Ciaran sadly lost his life at the scene. Ann Marie and the other passenger in the crash were hurt but their injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver of the second car was seriously injured and rushed to Mayo University Hospital. Gardaí are hunting for witnesses to piece together how the crash happened.

Cork City FC and Ronan Keating Mourn

The football club took to social media to send condolences to the grieving family. Ronan Keating, renowned from the 90s hit band Boyzone, has had a successful solo career and hosts TV and radio shows.

“The entire Cork City FC family extends our deepest sympathies to the Keating family during this unimaginable time,” the club said.

Ronan has recently become a regular presenter on BBC’s The One Show and was just announced as a coach on the 13th series of Germany’s The Voice last month.
