Urgent Search Underway for Missing 12-Year-Old Boy in East London
Police are desperate to find Yafee, a 12-year-old boy who vanished from Newham on Thursday evening. He was last spotted just after 5pm on Khartoum Road, near Barking Road and south of Plaistow Park.
Family and Police Frantically Searching
Yafee’s family have been scouring the local area and checking with his friends, but there’s been no trace. Since the police were alerted at 8.38pm, officers have launched a full-scale investigation with no confirmed sightings yet.
Cold Night, No Phone – Time Is Ticking
Detective Inspector Sam Lockstone said: “With every hour that passes, we’re growing more worried. This is totally out of character. On a cold night like this, Yafee is alone on the streets of east London in his school uniform, and he has no phone or way to call for help.
“We’re urging anyone in the area to come forward if they’ve seen him. Your tip-off could make all the difference.
“We’re also calling on cab and bus drivers, delivery workers, night-shift travellers – anyone who might be out at this hour – to keep an eye out. If you think you spot Yafee, even if you’re unsure, contact us immediately.”
“Our top priority is to find Yafee safe and sound and reunite him with his anxious family.”
