Alongside military moves, China has tightened sanctions on Taiwan’s US envoy, Hsiao Bi-khim, her family, and associated companies. Beijing has also blacklisted the Hudson Institute and Ronald Reagan Library, accusing them of hosting events that promote “Taiwan independence” linked to President Tsai Ing-wen.
