A second man who was arrested as part of an investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command has been charged with terrorism offences. Ayub Nurhussein, 28 of uk/news/uk/SOUTH-WEST-LONDON" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="south west London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="72021">south west London, was charged on 26 July with funding terrorism, contrary to section 17 of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2000. He was also charged with possession of a document or record containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to section 58 TACT, 2000. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 27 July. On Thursday, 25 July, Farah Ahmed, 42 of south west London was charged with possession of a document or record containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to section 58 TACT, 2000. He was also charged with dissemination of terrorist material contrary to section 2 TACT, 2006. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 16 August. Both men were arrested at a residential address in south west London on Tuesday, 16 July and were detained under section 41, TACT and taken to a south London station/">police station. Warrants of further detention were granted at Westminster Magistrates’ Court up until Monday, 30 July but both men were subsequently charged as above. Searches at a residential address in south west London and a commercial premises in south east London are now complete.
