Ambulance Chief Speaks Out
Pauline Cranmer, Strategic Commander at London Ambulance Service, said:
“We were called at 3:28am to reports of a fire on Stern Close, Barking. We deployed multiple resources – seven ambulance crews, two fast response medics, incident officers, advanced paramedics, and our Hazardous Area Response Team. Trauma teams from London’s Air Ambulance also attended.
“Our crews treated seven people at the scene. Despite our best efforts, a child was sadly pronounced dead there. Four people were taken to major trauma centres, one to a local hospital, and another was discharged on site.
