Teen Murder Horror in Dulwich: Police Hunt Witnesses

Detectives are hunting for witnesses after an 18-year-old was stabbed to death in Dulwich on Wednesday night.

Police rushed to Seeley Drive, SE21, at 6.30pm on 8 July following reports of a stabbing. Officers and paramedics found the victim suffering serious stab wounds.

Despite desperate efforts, including treatment from London’s Air Ambulance, the teenager was pronounced dead at 7.03pm at the scene.

Victim Believed to Be Donnell Rhule

The victim is thought to be Donnell Rhule, 18, from south-east London. Formal ID is pending, but Donnell’s family have been informed. A post-mortem will take place at Greenwich Mortuary on 10 July.

Key Clues and Urgent Appeals

Detectives believe Donnell was attacked on nearby Lyall Road before making his way to the shop parade on Seeley Drive.

“I would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the stabbing or saw anyone leaving the scene,” said DCI Rob Pack, the lead investigator. “This is usually a quiet area, so I’m sure someone out there saw or heard something important.”

He also urged witnesses to help trace a blue Renault hatchback, possibly working as an Uber or private hire, seen picking up a passenger near the scene around 6.30pm.

Community and Police Respond

Ch Supt Colin Wingrove, head of the Met’s Central South Command Unit, said: “I am saddened by this tragic murder. Our thoughts are with Donnell’s family and community. We are fully committed to justice and supporting the investigation.”

He added that local officers will boost patrols in the area to reassure residents and urged anyone with information to come forward.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with info should call police on 101 quoting CAD 6306/8July or contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
