Woman Found Dead in Edmonton Flat – Man Arrested on Murder Suspicion

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are probing after a woman was found dead in Edmonton on Monday evening.

Tragic Discovery in Pennine House

Police rushed to a flat in Pennine House, Plevna Road, N9, at 6.04pm on 6 April after concerns for an occupant’s safety. Officers discovered a 57-year-old woman unresponsive with serious injuries. Paramedics arrived but sadly pronounced her dead at the scene.

Man Arrested, Known to Victim

A 65-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a north London police station. Authorities believe the woman and man knew each other.

Investigation Underway – Police Appeal for Witnesses

A crime scene remains in place as inquiries continue. The woman’s next of kin have been notified, and a post-mortem is planned.
