A teenage boy has been arrested following two brutal stabbings in Gillingham on Friday afternoon. The violence erupted around 3:14pm in a narrow alleyway between Sunnymead Avenue and Chicago Avenue, sparking an urgent response from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Two Men Injured, One Hospitalised
Police discovered two men at the scene, both suffering stab wounds. Victims were rushed to a London hospital. One remains in serious but stable condition, while the other has since been discharged.
Police Hunt More Suspects, Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Martin Carter revealed officers are still searching for others who fled before police arrived. He urged, “We are appealing to witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact our appeal line.” Motorists and local residents are also asked to check any private CCTV footage that might help the investigation.
