Second Arrest Made in Murder of Loeike Guei in Mitcham

Detectives have nabbed a second suspect in the shocking murder of 23-year-old Loeike Guei. On the evening of Thursday, 25 September, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice. He remains in custody at a South London police station as the investigation heats up.

First Suspect Charged in Looming Old Bailey Trial

Meanwhile, Raphael Kokkinos, 33, of Polworth Road, SW16, has been formally charged with Loeike’s murder. He appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 25 September, and is set for a hearing at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 27 September.

Loeike Guei’s body was discovered on Commonside East, Mitcham, on Thursday, 17 September, sending shockwaves through the local community. The 23-year-old hailed from nearby Thornton Heath.
