Woman Found Dead Near A3 in Guildford – Murder Charge Made
The body of 41-year-old Helen Anderson was discovered by a passerby near the A3 in Guildford on Monday, 23 August 2021. Dane Messam, 52, from Hackney, London, has been charged with her murder and is now in custody.
A second man, 51, also from Hackney, was arrested but has since been released on bail. Surrey Police continue their investigation and are urging the public to come forward with any information.
Police Hunt Witnesses Over Mystery Bus
Detectives have released an image of a decommissioned Brighton and Hove double-decker bus connected to the case. Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers said:
“We are appealing to anyone who saw this double-decker bus in North London between 7.30pm on 20 August and 3pm on 23 August. We also want to hear from anyone who spotted the bus driving or parked in Guildford between 3am and 4am on 23 August.”
