Predator Stalks Students in London – Jailed for Sexual Attacks
Troy Maurice, 29, from Birmingham, has been locked up for six years, with an extra three years on licence, after terrorising students at a London campus. The twisted crook was found guilty of multiple charges including sexual assault and false imprisonment at Kingston Crown Court on 11 November.
Hunted Victims Inside Student Halls
In March and April 2022, Maurice stalked a central London student campus, sneaking behind students as they made their way to their digs. In one chilling attack, he trapped a victim in a laundry room before assaulting her.
His cruelty didn’t stop there. On another occasion, Maurice forced his way into a student’s flat, subjecting her to a night of horrific abuse that lasted over 12 hours. The victim bravely fought him off despite his attempts to coerce her into sex.
Cunning Crook Caught and Brought to Justice
Police from the Central West Command Unit quickly made the connection between the attacks. Maurice was identified, arrested, and charged, ending his reign of terror.
Detective Praises Victims’ Bravery
“Both victims showed considerable courage and bravery following these incidents, which were incredibly frightening for them both,” said Detective Constable Ben Salmon.
“Maurice’s behaviour was cold and calculated and I believe the public will be all the safer with him behind bars.”
