Motorbike Stop in Croydon Turns Violent
At around 10am on Thursday, 30 December, officers from the Met’s South Area Command Safer Transport Team stopped a man riding a motorcycle at Cherry Tree Green, Croydon.
Officer Injuries After Taser Used
The 23-year-old rider became violent during the stop. Police deployed a Taser to detain him. Officers found a knife on the scene.
One officer suffered a concussion, while another is suspected to have a fracture.
Man Charged, Police Seek Witnesses
The 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.
