Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Dead in Winchester Home

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man’s body was discovered in a Winchester property on Wednesday evening.

Body Found in Birch Court

Emergency services were called just after 5.30pm to an address on Birch Court, off Thurmond Crescent. Officers arrived at 5.31pm and found a 37-year-old man, believed to be a local resident, dead at the scene.

Police Treat Death as Unexplained

Authorities say the death is currently being treated as unexplained. A thorough investigation is underway to uncover exactly what happened.

A police cordon remains in place around the property, and locals will notice a heavy police presence. Officials stress this is an isolated incident with no link to the recent London attack.

Shocked Neighbours React

A neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I saw loads of police turn up last night. My wife came back shocked after seeing all the officers outside. The area is usually very quiet, and everyone keeps themselves to themselves.”
