Parents Arrested Over Shocking Attack on Two-Week-Old Baby
A young couple has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after their two-week-old baby boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Baby Fighting for Life in Hospital
The infant was taken by ambulance to Queen Alexandra Hospital on Tuesday, following an emergency call from the family home on Forton Road, Gosport.
Couple Questioned and Released on Bail
Serious crime detectives have questioned the pair, both in their 20s. They have not been named. The couple were released on bail until September as police continue their investigation.
Police Probe Continues
A police source said: “They are conducting enquiries after a two-week-old baby was rushed to QA hospital on Tuesday. Police are trying to establish how the child was injured.”
