Seventh Arrest Made in Shocking Canterbury Teen Assault

Police probing a brutal assault on a teenage boy in Canterbury have made a seventh arrest. Officers rushed to Whitefriars Street around 6pm on Thursday, 6 June 2019, after reports of the attack.

Victim Flown to London Hospital

Emergency services, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene. The seriously injured boy was airlifted to a London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Multiple Arrests in Ongoing Investigation

  • Four teenagers from Canterbury – two aged 16 and two aged 15
  • One 17-year-old from Margate
  • A 44-year-old man with no fixed address, arrested for assisting an offender

All were released on bail while inquiries continue. Then on the evening of Saturday 8 June, police arrested another 17-year-old boy, who remains in custody.
